STARZ launches 25 Days of #OutlanderOfferings with the first-look teaser trailer for Season 2 of Outlander.
Sassenachs, STARZ just kicked off December in an EPIC way! Like last year, the network announced today that they’ll be launching another 25 days of #OutlanderOfferings! Starting today (December 1), STARZ will release exclusive content across their official Twitter and Facebook accounts, including never-before-seen Season 2 photos, cast interviews, holiday recipes, and the chance to win special Outlander store items.
And we’re beyond happy to share the very first of the offerings—the first-look teaser for Season 2 of Outlander!
If you’ll recall, Season 1 ended (“To Ransom a Man’s Soul“) with Claire and Jamie sailing off to France to escape the Red Coats pursuing them after Jamie’s escape from Wentworth Prison. As they sailed away, they two agreed to try and change the future to prevent The Rising and Culloden. Claire also shared that she was pregnant!
Well, the teaser trailer picks up as Jamie and Claire arrive in France. We get glimpses of their life in Paris as they negotiate the aristocratic society and attempt to alter Scotland’s future. Check it out below:

THIS IS SO EXCITING! First, it’s great to hear that Outlander will be back this Spring 2016! We really haven’t had any indication of when Season 2 might premiere, so it’s wonderful to get that piece of news!
And now to the teaser itself—I just love Jamie and Claire so much! I adore seeing them in all their French finery, interacting with nobles, while secretly plotting to prevent the Bonnie Prince from launching Scotland into war.
Those of us who have read Dragonfly in Amber will be particularly sensitive to certain scenes: Jamie feeling the baby move in Claire’s tummy, Jamie in a duel, Jamie looking like he’s seen a ghost, Jamie and Claire kneeling over a headstone, violent battle…
GOODNESS, is it Spring 2016 yet?! Not to sound greedy (because I’m extremely grateful for what we’ve already gotten), but here’s hoping we get a specific date soon

Season Two of Outlander begins as Claire and Jamie arrive in France, hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart, and stopping the battle of Culloden. With the help of his cousin Jared, a local wine merchant, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant, but political gain proves far less fruitful.
