November 23, 2015 By T.J. Leave a Comment

The line-up for The CW Network has a new addition, a critically-acclaimed return, and Thristdays are no longer. Check out the January 2016 premiere dates for The CW.

The CW Network announced the scheduling moves and premiere dates for January 2016, and many folks are in throes of intense feelings. First, we are super excited that we DC’s Legends of Tomorrow was given a premiere date and will be the lead in for critically-acclaimed The 100. However, this premiere date is Thursday, January 21st. Which means The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are moving to a new night…Fridays! Therefore, Thirstdays are no more and it makes me wonder what the new tagline will be for Friday night vamp, witch, and werewolf night. Whatever it is it will be clever.

According to The CW Network TVD and The Originals move to Fridays is “the most heavily time-shifted series on television.” Stans need not worry because both shows triple their audiences across streaming services after the original airing. So, folks let’s get ready for an exciting new line-up on The CW Network.

The CW NETWORK JANUARY 2016 LINE-UP:

Thursday, January 21

In DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, when heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only the planet is at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

For two seasons, the refugees of THE 100 sent to Earth have been at war. First with themselves, then with the Grounders, and finally with Mount Weather. Many have lost their lives along the way. All have lost their innocence. They have learned the hard way that in the fight for survival, there are no heroes and no villains. There is only the living and the dead. But now the war is over. The battle against Mount Weather has been won. The prisoners have returned home to a world seemingly at peace, but can they find peace within themselves after what they had to do to escape? And is there more to life than just surviving? Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race. Based on the book series by Kass Morgan, THE 100. (via The CW)
