The Flash returns for season 2 TONIGHT, airing on The CW at 8/7c. With it, it brings back old enemies, new foes, more family members, and we can rest assure the greatness of the show we love will be EPIC.
When the pilot of The Flash aired on The CW almost a year ago, the buzz everywhere boiled down to one sentiment, no one had seen a comic-to-TV-adaptation get it so RIGHT from the first scene! We fell in love with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) as The Flash. The West family, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) were perfection. Many of us were instant WestAllen shippers even though Iris was dating Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett). The STAR Labs crew of Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), and Cisco Ramos (Carlos Valdes) were stars…pun intended.
Through the twists and turns, and major reveals of the first season of The Flash, the fans were never disappointed. Now the season 2 premiere episode, “The Man Who Saved Central City”, is upon us in just a few short hours. We will find out what the consequences are from the world being reset.
Season 2 of The Flash will also bring on new cast members; Keiynan Lonsdale joins in as Wally West, and we finally meet Mrs. West portrayed by Vanessa Williams. A new foe is afoot in Central City! Atom Smasher aka Al Rothsein (Adam Copeland) is sure to cause havoc, we have to wait to see the exact drama this nuclear-powered villain will bring about. And luckily for us we only have to wait a little while longer.
Tonight on the season 2 premiere episode, “The Man Who Saved Central City”, Barry Allen filled with remorse decides he will protect Central City on his own.
Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) helps Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his Meta Task Force. (via The CW)
