Photos/Videos: Preview IZOMBIE Season 2 Premiere Ep. “Grumpy Old Liv”

October 6, 2015 By Marisol Leave a Comment

iZombie’s second season begins tonight with the episode, “Grumpy Old Liv”. Last season, iZombie ended on an angsty note but tonight we’re hoping it’s all good now that Liv is back on her brain diet. Tonight’s meal consists of senior citizen brain, so naturally Liv absorbs the character traits of one easily annoyed senior citizen. How is Liv going to act when she’s cranky? Watch “Grumpy Old Liv” tonight on The CW at 9/8c.

iZombie introduced a number of plot lines last season that seemingly converged at the same time during the first season finale. The perils of consuming energy drink Max Rager were finally exposed, but Max Rager’s CEO, played by the delightfully unbothered Steven Weber, remained intent on moving forward with Super Max, the zombie rage inducing energy drink with the unpleasant side effect of creating a zombie outbreak. And after struggling to keep her zombie status a secret from Major (Robert Buckley) for so long, Liv (Rose McIver) was not only forced to admit to Major what she is, she also had to infect him in order to save his life. In the midst of all of this, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) appeared to have found a cure for zombism. Meat Cute butcher shop owner Blaine (David Anders) is the test case for the cure, although knowing Blaine, he’ll probably find a way to become a zombie once again. After all, his brain delivery business was booming!

So with everything that’s going on, how is Liv going to find time to eat?! Liv needs to consume a brain in order to have the murder visions that leads her to work with Detective Babineaux to solve the crime.

Read on for The CW network synopsis of iZombie, Season 2, Episode 1, “Grumpy Old Liv”, written by Rob Thomas, and directed by Michael Fields:

ADAM ROSE (“VERONICA MARS”) GUEST STARS — Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the brains of a cantankerous old man to help gain insight into his death. After receiving an anonymous call on the tipster hotline, Liv and Detective Babineax (Malcolm Goodwin) stop by the residence of Byron Thistlewaite (guest star Adam Rose), to question the mysterious caller. Meanwhile, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) suspects that Major (Robert Buckley) might be experiencing a side effect of the cure, and Liv pays Blaine (David Anders) a surprise visit.

We have a few images from tonight’s iZombie episode, plus a video clip of executive producers Rob Thomas and Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright previewing “Grumpy Old Liv”.
