Lionsgate makes several exciting Mockingjay Part 2 announcements: a new, emotional Katniss/Prim featurette; kick-off dates for the Mockingjay Part 2 World Tour; plus, fans can go to advanced screenings of Mockingjay Part 2 during The Hunger Games Double Feature.
Like my fellow Tributes, one of my favorite parts of The Hunger Games series is the relationship between Katniss and Prim. I don’t think it’s too far-fetched to say that it’s Katniss’ love for her younger sister that eventually leads to her become the iconic Mockingjay.
In honor of our love for the two sisters, Lionsgate has released a new trailer that’s all about Katniss and Prim. It debuted on Good Morning America earlier today. “For Prim” is essentially a montage of moments between the two, beginning with Katniss comforting Prim before her very first Hunger Games, moving us through the remainder of the films, ultimately ending with an emotional exchange in Mockingjay Part 2. In the background “My Tears are Becoming a Sea” by M83 serenades us right into tears. Check it out below:

Lionsgate also announced that fans will be able to start pre-prder tickets for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 starting Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 12:00pmEST|9:00amPST. Plus, if you buy tickets within the first 24 hours, you’ll receive a bonus digital download of Mockingjay Part 1!
Mockingjay Part 2 will start playing in theaters at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 19, but even more exciting, starting on Wednesday, November 18, fans will have the option to screen a double feature of Mockingjay Part 1 + Part 2. The Hunger Games Double Feature will be a premium experience including exclusive on-screen content and premium giveaways. Of course, you’ll get to see Mockingjay Part 2 a full 24 hours ahead of the Thursday advance shows!
I can’t wait for Mockingjay Part 2 promo to be begin. This week Jennifer Lawrence (via Facebook), Liam Hemsworth (via Facebook), Josh Hutcherson (via Twitter), and director Francis Lawrence (via Twitter) announced dates and locations for the Mockingjay Part 2 World Tour. It’ll kick off in Berlin on November 4 and then to London on November 5, Paris on November 9, and Los Angeles on November 16.
