BREAKING: Watch and Vote NOW for Your Fave ‘Twilight Stories’ Short Films

July 14, 2015 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

The finished Twilight Stories short films have finally been posted exclusively to Facebook! Watch all seven and vote for the grand prize winner.

Fellow TwiFans, the day we’ve been awaiting has arrived! After 14,000 votes, nearly 1,300 writing submissions, and 150 director pitches, eight finalists (six individuals, and one team of sisters) have created seven incredible short films set in the dynamic world of Twilight.

Last night Lionsgate, Tongal, and Women In Film held the Twilight Storytellers premiere. Stephanie Meyer and the filmmakers attended the event at Hollywood’s Arclight Theater, which included a small cocktail reception, a screening of the shorts, and a Q&A.

If you weren’t able to attend the premiere, don’t worry! Starting today, all seven short films are now available to watch online, exclusively on Facebook.

Over the next two weeks YOU have the power to vote for your favorite short while the star-studded group of female panelists including Stephenie Meyer, actress Kristen Stewart, Academy Award winners Kate Winslet and Octavia Spencer, Jennifer Lee, the award-winning writer and co-director of Frozen, Emmy Award-winning actress Julie Bowen, and Women In Film President Cathy Schulman narrow down their selections.

The grand prize winner will be announced on the week of August 3, 2015 and will receive $100,000, an all-new 2015 Volvo XC90, a trip to Los Angeles, and various career opportunities.

Take a look at the summaries of each of the short films below and click on each title to head over to Facebook and watch the Twilight Stories, then vote for your faves!

The Mary Alice Brandon File, directed by Kailey and Sam Spear
Set as a moody period drama with a pinch of Gothic mystery, THE MARY ALICE BRANDON FILE explores Alice’s resilient spirit as her dark past is revealed.

The Groundskeeper, directed by Nicole Eckenroad
In THE GROUNDSKEEPER, Alice and her fearless confidante grapple with the grave choices they are forced to make when a unique kind of hunter has Alice in his sights.

Consumed, directed by Maja Fernqvist
CONSUMED is the emotional story of Jane’s past. Like her brother Alec, Jane was always “special,” but in their quaint hamlet, their specialness inspires scorn and has terrible consequences until a mysterious stranger comes along and takes an unusual interest in them.

Sunrise, directed by Amanda Tasse
Terrified that his own special power has caused so much harm, Benjamin turns away from the world. SUNRISE details Benjamin’s return to his human roots, where he can no longer hide from the girl that stole his heart long ago.

Masque, directed by Cate Carson
After her transformation, Esme’s struggle to overcome her craving for human blood is only intensified by the painful memories of her tragedy-ridden past. In MASQUE, Carlisle helps Esme find hope for the future…and maybe even a family.

We’ve Met Before, directed by Yulin Kuang
In WE’VE MET BEFORE, Alice and Jasper meet for the first time…or so it would seem. As the conversation evolves, the history of their true and everlasting love is coyly revealed.

Turncoats, directed by Lindsey Hancock Williamson
Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution, TURNCOATS explores the characters and events that forged Garrett and Carlisle’s enduring friendship.
