USA Network officially renews Suits for a 16-episode Season 6 and we couldn’t be more excited!
It feels so good to have Suits Wednesday’s back for the summer! We’re two episodes into Season 5, and if you watched last night’s episode (“Compensation“), you know that the drama is just kicking into high gear! Things are rapidly falling apart for Harvey (Gabriel Macht)—Donna (Sarah Rafferty) is gone, triggering his issues with abandonment and *intense* panic attacks; and now, Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Jack Soloff (John Pyper-Ferguson) are coming for his money! Judging from next week’s preview, all the stress and anxiety might necessitate a trip to the ER!
Well, USA Network isn’t quite done with the legal adventures of Pearson/Specter/Litt. Yesterday, they announced that Suits has been renewed for a 16-episode sixth season!
According to Chris McCumber (President of USA Network):
“SUITS has set the bar high in every way and continues to be a strong performer and marquee property for USA. From the incredible on-screen performances and brilliant writing to the aspirational lifestyle portrayed, we look forward to continuing to bring viewers into the world of SUITS every week.”
Jeff Wachtel (Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and President, Universal Cable Productions) shares the excitment:
“SUITS has delivered a smart and sexy roller coaster ride for five seasons. Aaron Korsh [Suits‘ Executive Producer] has some great surprises for the audience at the end of Season 5 that should really set future seasons on an exciting new course.”
