VIDEO/PHOTOS: Preview ‘Power’ Season 2, Episode 4 “You’re the Only Person I Can Trust”

June 27, 2015 By Team WSN Leave a Comment

Ghost is rapidly losing control in his business and personal life and aims to reassert his authority. Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Power “You’re the Only Person I Can Trust”, airing at 9:00pm ET|PT on STARZ.

Last week on Power: Season 2, Episode 3 “Like We’re Any Other Couple” James/Jamie/Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Angela (Lela Loren) take their trip to Miami, FL and begin to fantasize about what their life could be life if they packed up everything and moved to Miami. Angela could transfer to a government office in Florida; Jamie would leave Tasha (Naturi Naughton) and enroll his kids into an elite school in the new city.

However, while the couple are dreaming about the life they could have, both are keeping mountain-high secrets from each other. Ghost goes down to Miami to help Stern (Victor Garber) take over another club, and is able to use this all-expense-paid trip to pinpoint where Pink Sneakers/Mariela (Leslie Lopez), the woman who attempted to kill him at TRUTH, is hiding out. As well as, get the alone time he wanted with Angela. In his pursuit to kill two birds with one stone, he hits a snag when the Miami club owner Lee (Nick Gehlfuss) isn’t so willing to sign over his establishment to Stern. Angela jumps to the rescue and uses her connections as a Department of Justice attorney to dig up some dirt on Lee, that allows for Ghost to get the signature he needs to make Stern happy. Plus, she decides to see what she can do to help Jamie step away from his business partners and not lose his shirt or go to jail. Angela is still under the impression that Jamie is a clean business man, and his affection for his childhood friend Tommy (Joseph Sikora) is his only issue.

Angela after a intense love-making session with Jamie decides to tell him the truth about her job and that she is investigating Tommy and reveal that she believes Tommy is also known as “Ghost”. Jamie acts surprised and outraged by her admission, which allows Angela to inform him that if he testifies against Tommy she can help him try to secure all the assets he has earned over the years and hopefully keep him out of prison. Jamie gives the impression that he is pondering this option (and maybe he is thinking of a way to pin it all on Tommy), but in the back of his mind he still has business to attend to, and that business is getting some face-time with Pink Sneakers/Mariela.

While Angela and Jamie are living it up in Miami, Tommy is taking Kanan (Curtis ‘50 Cent‘ Jackson) around and showing him the business that he and Ghost built from Kanan’s inspiration. While Tommy is showing Kanan the empire, he lets it slip that Ghost was in Miami to confront Pink Sneakers/Mariela. This bit of knowledge allows Kanan to put his boy Dre (Rotimi Akinosho) on the task of getting to Pink Sneakers/Mariela first. Now Dre and Ghost are after the same person and it leads to a chase off that Ghost isn’t even aware is happening. Ghost spots Pink Sneakers/Mariela while at dinner with Angela and pretends to leave to go to the bathroom (with steak knife in hand) and sets off after a fleeing Pink Sneakers/Mariela. At the same time, Dre is chasing after her as well. Dre in the end, gets to her first and attempts to silence her fully with a few stabs to the belly. However, before she dies she is abel to tell Ghost how dumb she thinks he is and now Ghost is aware that it might not have been Rolla (Darrell Britt-Gibson) who ordered the hit in the first place.

While Ghost was out-of-town Kanan was also busy causing trouble for him at home. Kanan got rid of the RSK’s crew leader QDubs (Marc John Jefferies) after a heated conversation. Tommy and him made it look like a robbery, but only time will tell how this will play out for Ghost and his crew. Also, Kanan took the opportunity of Ghost’s absence to further ingrain himself into his son Shawn’s (Sinqua Walls) life. Kanan was able to tell that something was going on between Shawn and Tasha and let it be known that Shawn needed to stop it promptly. Shawn followed Kanan’s advice and immediately began to distance himself from Mrs. St. Patrick. Tasha didn’t take this well and it allowed LaKeisha (La La Anthony) to make her move to and get some lip-lock time in with Shawn.

There was a significant amount of drama that went down in a few short days in two different cities. We’re starting to see things rapidly fall apart for Ghost, and he’ll struggle to maintain control over everything in his life and businesses.

In tonight’s episode “You’re the Only Person I Can Trust”, written by Safia Dirie and directed by Bill Johnson:

Ghost fights to retain control over everyone in his life: Tommy who is aligning with Kanan, Angela who insists Tommy is Ghost, Tasha who refuses to believe his lies, and Stern who is making it impossible for him to win back his club.

Jealousy rears its ugly head and everyone from Tommy and Julio to Tasha and LaKeisha are at odds to maintain their power. (via STARZ)

Take a look at two clips from the upcoming show. In the first, Tommy and Kanan confess to Ghost how things went pear-shaped when they tried to talk to QDubs and the RSKs. Ghost is not pleased. In the second video, things get even more complicated for Ghost when Tasha finds out who he was with in Miami:

WOW, Tasha put Ghost out of their house! It’s very clear that things are about to get even more difficult in Ghost’s personal and professional life. It’ll be interesting to see how he tries to reassert his control. (This is totally incidental, but Tasha’s shoes are giving me life!)
