Broad Green Pictures releases the first official trailer for Break Point, a sports comedy starring Jeremy Sisto, David Walton, Amy Smart, and J.K. Simmons, available on VOD July 21 and in theaters September 4.
*Paging all comedy fans* Are you looking for your next summer film? Break Point, a sports comedy directed by Jay Karas starring Jeremy Sisto, David Walton, Amy Smart, and J.K. Simmons is definitely for you:
Jimmy Price (Jeremy Sisto) is a reckless man-child on the last leg of his career as a doubles tennis player. When his latest partner drops him, he realizes he’s officially burned all of his bridges on the pro circuit. He decides to make one last ditch effort to revive his career, reaching outside of the tennis world and convincing his childhood partner–his estranged brother Darren (David Walton), now an apathetic substitute teacher–to team up with him. The mismatched pair, with the help of a unique 11-year-old named Barry (Joshua Rush), make an unlikely run at a grand slam tournament and are forced to re-discover their game, and their brotherhood. Broad Green Pictures just released the official trailer for Break Point (below), and we see the little adventure Jimmy and Darren get up to. I mean, why not try to win a tennis tournament during summer break? What else is there to do?
“Being brothers takes balls.” L.O.L. that’s true on several levels, no?
This film looks hilarious! I adore J.K. Simmons and, after just watching him in Whiplash for the first time (*SHIVERS*), a comedic role like this can be a nice alternative. And little Barry is equally funny as Jimmy and Darren’s coach/cheerleader.
Even though there will be laughs, you can tell that there’s an underlining story about the importance of family, which will be sweet too! What do you think?
Break Point will be available on Video OnDemand (VOD) starting July 21, and then in theaters later this year on September 4.
