VIDEOS and PHOTOS: Sneak Peek with Synopsis into Tonight’s ‘Orphan Black’ Season 3, Episode 2 “Transitory Sacrifices of Crisis”

April 25, 2015 By T.J. Leave a Comment

Season 3 of Orphan Black started off with a Helena pastel dream bang and it only got better from there. Get your sneak peek into Orphan Black, season 3, episode 2, “Transitory Sacrifices of Crisis” airing tonight on BBC America at 9/8c.

Orphan Black season 3, episode 1, “The Weight of This Combination” came on with a Helena (Tatiana Maslany) dream sequence making many us wish it was real. Helena took us to a pastel world where her sestras (Alison Hendrix, Cosima Niehaus, and twin Sarah Manning), Felix (Jordan Gavaris), and Kira (Skyler Wexler) are attending her baby shower. This dream sequence gave us the chance to see into Helena’s mind and get a glimpse of how she views everyone. Sarah (Maslany) was decked out in all leather, wearing sunglasses, and filled with snark, Felix was manning some Ukrainian delights over the BBQ grill, Alison (Maslany) looked pristine and perfect just as the cupcakes she brought out, Cosima (Maslany) donned a Ukrainian folk costume toting the glories of science, and Kira was the cute little monkey she always is. However, all the goodness was ruined when we found out that Helena was being held within a box within a box by Castor and her only friend was a talking scorpion calling Helena ‘kiddo.” Take a look Helena’s baby shower dream and the explanation behind the sequence with the below BBC America videos.

If you thought seeing Helena in a box was bad, we come to find out that Mrs. S./Siobhan (Maria Doyle Kennedy) is reason behind it. Siobhan sold out Helena to Castor. In the hopes to find Helena, Sarah most take on another personality and this provides for the most entertaining of scenes within the Orphan Black season 3 premiere episode.

Delphine (Evelyne Brochu) has taken over for Dyad while Rachel (Maslany) recovers from that pesky pencil in the eye incident that happened in season 2. AND Delphine is one bad mother-shut my mouth! Delphine needs to enlist the help of Sarah to figure out why Ferdinand (James Frain), a Topside cleaner, has shown up at Dyad. Since Rachel is lying in recovery, Sarah must take on the task of pretending to be Rachel and with assistance from Felix she is able to master this role. Sarah as Rachel was amazing to see, but Alison was needed because Ferdinand wanted a face-to-face with Sarah. Now Sarah is Rachel, and Alison is Sarah and that was BEYOND brilliant to watch and it resulted in us finding out that Rachel and Ferdinand where attempting to put the Helsinki plan in place.

Helsinki was a plot set-up to murder all the Leda sisters (minus Rachel) and all those close to them. The plan that was currently in motion was foiled because we find out that Delphine isn’t above torturing a person to get the answers she wants. Helsinki is stopped in its tracks because Delphine applies a lot of extra pressure onto the injured eye of Rachel and Sarah as Rachel gives Ferdinand a beat down of epic kinky proportions.

Other great highlights of “The Weight of This Combination” is meeting the other Castor brothers. Sarah had a face-to-face with Rudy (Ari Millen) at Dyad after she learned that two of the Castor brothers killed another Leda clone, Krystal Goderich. Rudy also let Sarah know that her sisters (Helena in particular) weren’t safe. Seth (Millen) gives Mrs. S. a beat down and Miller (Millen) is the one holding Helena in a box.

In the Orphan Black, season 3 premiere, “The Weight of This Combination” we also get an update on what is going on in the lives of Alison and Cosima. Alison has a bee in her bonnet when School Trustee, Marci Coates (Amanda Brugel) who is also a real estate agent might be attempting to redistrict their community. By doing so, Alison’s kids will need to go to another school. With recently fired Donnie (Kristian Bruun), Alison decides to run against incumbent Marci for School Trustee. This will be a riot for sure. If seeing Helena being locked in a box didn’t bring all the feels, we see Delphine let Cosima know that she has taken over some of Rachel’s duties and she will no longer be working with Cosima and Scott (Josh Vokey).

“The Weight of This Combination” was a glorious season premiere opener and it let us know that we are in for one hell of a ride for Orphan Black season 3. Check out the poster for “The Weight of This Combination”.

Now up tonight for Orphan Black, season 3, episode 2, “Transitory Sacrifices of Crisis”:

Castor pursues the Leda clones for original tissue samples. Helena, who is pregnant and imprisoned, is examined by a mysterious new villain. The Castor boys are also out to play, toying with a frightened young woman, Patty, in a sexy switcheroo that ultimately sets Sarah – and Art – hot on the Castor trail. But it’s not all fun and games for the Castor boys, as Sarah gleans they may have a mysterious defect that puts their lives in peril. (via BBC America)

Castor and the Castor boys look like they will be wrecking havoc this season and I know we are all ready for it! Now get a further look into “Transitory Sacrifices of Crisis” with images from the episode in the below slideshow.
