VIDEO: Sneak Peek into Tonight’s ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 6, Episode 19, “Because”

April 23, 2015 By T.J. Leave a Comment

We are down to the last 4 episodes of season 6 of The Vampire Diaries and we are all wondering what will happen with Elena Gilbert since Nina Dobrev is leaving the role behind at the end of the season. Let’s get a sneak peek into tonight’s episode and see if some clues to Elena’s future will be revealed when TVD airs on The CW at 8/7c.

Last week on The Vampire Diaries, season 6, episode 18, “I Could Never Love Like That,” Damon (Ian Somerhalder) was on a mission to get his brother Stefan (Paul Wesley) to turn his humanity back on. To do so, Damon enlists the help of his mother Lily (Annie Wersching). By asking Lily for help, Damon comes to find out that his mother after being turned into a vampire was more concerned with her blood lust, and being the original ripper Salvatore, than that of her sons who thought she had died. Lily also admitted that her family of vampires that are still trapped in 1903 are her true family, and she doesn’t believe she can be of any help to Stefan since she doesn’t look at her sons the way she did prior to becoming a vampire. Shocked by this Damon still manages to provide Lily just the right words to convince Stefan to turn his humanity back on.

Thank goodness for this! Because Stefan and Caroline (Candice Accola) were in the midst of a twisted game that resulted in Matt (Zach Roerig) being staked by Tyler (Michael Trevino). Before Damon and Lily came in to save Stefan from himself, Caroline was having a little Q&A with Matt and Tyler to see who she would kill first. In a rage, Tyler was ready to battle it out vs. going down without a fight. And when he attempted to stake Caroline, she used her vampire speed to place Matt in the path of the wooden stake. Lily coming in not only brought Stefan back to himself, but allowed for Caroline to high-tail it out of the situation.

Elena (Nina Dobrev) throughout, “I Could Never Love Like That” episode was having moments where she is reminded of all the things she wanted as a human. Which brings us to tonight, The Vampire Diaries, season 6, episode 19, “Because,” in which Damon needs to decide whether to tell or not to tell Elena that Bonnie (Kat Graham) has given him the cure.

Damon brings up his and Elena’s future together and what life would be like if they weren’t vampires. Meanwhile, it’s all hands on deck when attempts to stop a humanity-free Caroline doesn’t go as planned. Elsewhere, when Bonnie discovers that Damon has betrayed her trust, she takes matters into her own hands, setting off a chain of events that leaves Damon dealing with the fallout. Lastly, after being forced to face his traumatic past, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) sets out for answers and is surprised when he learns the truth about the day he was turned into a vampire. “Because” was directed by Geoff Shotz and written by Melinda Hsu Taylor.

Now let’s get a sneak peek into The Vampire Diaries, season 6, episode 19, “Because” with an inside look with Executive Producers Caroline Dries and Julie Plec as they discuss Stefan’s plan to get Caroline to turn her humanity back on. Followed by a clip from the episode featuring Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe), Alaric (Matt Davis), and Elena.
