VIDEO and PHOTOS: Sneak Peek into TONIGHT’S ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Finale, “Conquer”

March 29, 2015 By T.J. Leave a Comment

How will it all end for the gang in Alexandria after Rick’s bloody fight with Pete? Get your sneak peek into the 90-minute season 5 finale of The Walking Dead airing TONIGHT at 9/8c.

Last week on The Walking Dead, season 5, episode 15, “Try,” Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Aaron (Ross Marquand) are out scouting in the woods. They come across a woman tied to a tree who was devoured by walkers, with the letter “W” carved into her forehead. Many questions began to surface on the Interwebs: Who was the woman? Is the letter craved into her forehead a “W” or a “M”? Who else is out in the woods and what do they want?

Meanwhile, back in Alexandria, Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), still in the midst of grief appears to be trying to prove she isn’t like her late brother Tyreese (Chad L. Coleman). She can kill walkers; the killing of walkers doesn’t create an internal struggle within her. Sasha ventures out of the sniper compound into the woods killing each walker that she comes in her path. Rosita (Christian Serratos) noticing that Sasha isn’t in her post goes to Michonne (Danai Gurira) and let’s her know that she is worried about Sasha. The two venture out into the woods in search of Sasha and come across the path of dead walkers she has left in her wake. Once the duo are able to find Sasha, the three participate in one of the most badass walker massacres seen on the show. The strength of these three woman regardless of the issues they may have, is something I hope is sussed out even further in the future. And if it results in a some friendships between the ladies that will give us even more insight into their characters, I believe many will be ecstatic.

From badass behavior to some cuteness, Carl (Chandler Riggs) follows Enid (Katelyn Nacon) who seems to have a death wish out into the woods. The two come across a pack of roamers and need to hide within a hollow tree. Yes, it’s the zombie apocalypse, but we love love and hope to see Carl get some. Even if it’s with a young woman who are suspect of because of her odd behavior. But if it puts a smile, even temporary on the boy’s face who has seen too much in his young life I am all for it.

But the actions that had many on Twitter tweeting words of rage and/or scratching their heads is Rick (Andrew Lincoln) losing his damn mind and going all cray-cray in The Walking Dead, episode 15, “Try.” Apparently, when Rick shaved off his beard when arriving into Alexandria, he began to take on Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) like behavior. Rick is coveting Pete’s (Corey Brill) wife, Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge). We all know that Pete is a douchebag who abuses his wife, but Rick’s desire to want to kill him bubbled up into the ultimate amount of rage. This rage resulted into a bloody street brawl between the two and in the midst of the fight Pete pushed Jessie to ground and Rick did the same with Carl. Oh, hello no! Thank goodness Michonne knocked Rick which stopped the fight.

Before we get into the sneak peek into The Walking Dead season 5 finale, let’s take a look back at the last week’s episode, “Try,” with the below episode stills.

Now tonight on “Conquer,” the season 5 finale of The Walking Dead the folks of Alexandria need to decide what to do with Rick. This will be interesting, because Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) prior to the fight already expressed to Rick that she didn’t want to kill Pete. At the very most she wanted to exile him. Now with Rick’s actions, along with Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) telling Deanna not to trust Rick and his group, on top of her grief of her son’s Aiden (Daniel Bonjour) death with different accounts that happened during the run that he died on, should result in an interesting discussion on what will happen to Rick and possibly his group. But just as importantly in The Walking Dead, “Conquer,” we will find out the truth about the W’s and Morgan (Lennie James) gets closer to Alexandria.

Now let’s go further into “Conquer,” the season 5 finale of The Walking Dead with a sneak peek into the episode. In the below video, Deanna, Maggie (Lauren Cohan), and Reg (Steve Coulter) discuss the upcoming forum in which the fate of Rick will be discussed.

Maggie is right, Deanna let them in and making Rick leave will not work. Everyone has loss so much, it will be interesting to see what everyone has to say in the season 5 finale. But we aren’t done with the sneak peek just yet, take a look at the “Conquer” episode stills below that feature Daryl and Aaron.
