Explore Historical and Cultural Highlights of Each Decade with ‘The Age of Adaline’

March 27, 2015 By Funmbi 3 Comments

Lionsgate releases the final poster for The Age of Adaline and launches a new site that takes us through iconic moments from the film and depicts other salient historical events in each decade.

We’ve all heard that “love is timeless”…well Lionsgate’s upcoming film The Age of Adaline certainly puts that saying to the test:

When Adaline Bowman (Blake Lively) has a chance encounter with Ellis Jones (Michiel Huisman), it reignites her passion for life and romance. However, a weekend with his parents (Harrison Ford and Kathy Baker) threatens to uncover the truth about her inability to age, forcing her to make a decision that will change her life forever. (via Lionsgate)

If you’ve seen the official trailer and previous film posters, you know that The Age of Adaline is almost magical, which only serves to make the story more endearing. Earlier today, Lionsgate released the final poster (below), which features Blake Lively and Michiel Huisman and you can definitely see the whimsy shining through:

Lionsgate also launched Adaline Through The Ages, a brand new site that has a visual timeline taking us through iconic moments from the film and other historical, cultural, and life events Adaline experienced in each decade she’s been alive.

I’ve already gone through the site and it really is fantastic. I love seeing Adaline in each decade (Blake is FABULOUS in all the fashions). And as a history buff, I also really enjoy reading about the salient historical/cultural events and people. I mean, where else can you see Charlie Chaplin, Rosa Parks, Britney Spears, and Barack Obama in the same place?! Make sure to head HERE to check it out yourself, then come back and share your thoughts!

Remember, The Age of Adaline opens nationwide April 24, 2015.
