Dre helps Junior go up against the school bully by enhancing his roasting skills! Preview tonight’s black-ish “The Dozens,” airing at 9:31pm ET|PT on ABC.
I’m pretty sure last week’s episode of black-ish (“Andre from Marseille“) was my favorite of the season (so far)! It was so funny to watch Dre (Anthony Anderson) try to come to terms with Zoey (Yara Shahidi) having a serious boyfriend. Sure his name was also Andre (Julian de la Celle), but he was French, and like Charlie (Deon Cole) warned, the French were known for their sexual prowess. Andre did charm the Johnson ladies, but the Johnson men were not so impressed (although, Jack [Miles Brown] really liked the magic trick with the candy, LOL). In the end, Andre broke up with Zoey because he thought she was too shallow. And as she moved on, we saw that Zoey thought very highly of her father and might even want a boyfriend that was like him!
In tonight’s episode, “The Dozens,” written by Peter Saji and directed by Millicent Shelton:
Dre schools Andre Jr. in the art of “playing the dozens,” trash talking someone into submission, after he’s intimidated by a bully at school, but he succeeds a little too well with his plan; Bow struggles with sleep deprivation when Diane develops a fear of the dark. (via ABC)
Take a look at this sneak peek from the upcoming show. Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) is comforting Diane (Marsai Martin), trying to get her to go to sleep, and Jack is having fun throwing his sister’s fear in her face. Jack gets a little help from Junior (Marcus Scribner) and Dre to enhance his dissing skills…which is altogether HILARIOUS:
“Oooooh, Samsonite!” I CANNOT.
Dre is so not helpful, and it’s clear Bow is about to lose it!
Check out these photo stills from “The Dozens” which give us a glimpse of Junior going up against the school bully and Diane disturbing her parents’ sleep. Remember to tune into ABC at 9:31pm ET|PT tonight for the all new black-ish and come live tweet with me while we watch!
