VIDEO: Sneak Peek & Synopsis of ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ Season 1, Episode 11 “Best Christmas Ever”

February 5, 2015 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

Preview How to Get Away with Murder season 1, episode 11 “Best Christmas Ever” with video and photo sneak peeks. The new episode airs Thursday, February 5 at 10:00pm ET|PT on ABC.

When we returned to How to Get Away with Murder in the mid-season premiere, Annalise (Viola Davis) and the Keating 5 were in the midst of doing damage control.

We began with a flashback of Annalise finding Sam’s (Tom Verica) body, waiting at the desk, and ultimately telling Wes (Alfred Enoch) that she didn’t blame him for the murder and that he, Connor (Jack Falahee), Laurel (Karla Souza), and Michaela (Aja Naomi King) must dispose of the body. In the present, each person met with the police, explained their whereabouts (Annalise with Nate, the Keating 5 at the bonfire), and then turned to Rebecca’s (Katie Findlay) trial.

Ultimately, the new strategy was to demonstrate Rebecca’s innocence by proving it was in fact Sam who murdered Lila Stangard (Megan West). They were able to eventually obtain DNA results that Sam was the father of Lila’s baby. A new surveillance video also showed Sam and Lila at an abortion clinic arguing—she wanted to keep the baby, he wanted her to terminate the pregnancy. But the coup de grâce came via Sam’s own laptop showing that he did go to Lila’s sorority house on the night she was killed. With this overwhelming evidence, the charges against Rebecca were dismissed.

While this was ongoing, Connor, Michaela, and (we thought) Laurel had agreed to confess their part in Sam’s death to the police, hoping to blame Wes and Rebecca. However, when they arrived at the police station, Wes and Annalise were waiting to stop them. Annalise promised that if they stayed quiet, she would ensure that they all got away with the murder.

By the end of the episode, Annalise gave her mid-term exam (the essay prompt closely resembling how Sam was murdered) and the Keating 5 had mostly settled their nerves. But in the last scene of the show, while Connor was at the police station, he observed the beginning of another problem—Sam’s sister (guest-star Marcia Gay Harden) had arrived, convinced that Sam had not run away, and there was foul play. YIKES!

In tonight’s episode “Best Christmas Ever” written by Tracy A. Bellomo and Warren Hsu Leonard and directed by Michael Katleman:

School is back in session after the holiday break and the entire university is talking about Annalise’s missing husband. The Keating Five continue to be questioned by the police and we find out exactly how they’ve been dealing with the guilt of killing Sam. Meanwhile, Annalise tries to keep things business as usual by taking on a new client who is in the mob, but Hannah (Marcia Gay Harden) continues to pressure her for answers. (via ABC)

Check out this clip from the upcoming show. In the video, it’s the first day of the new semester and Connor, Wes, Laurel, and Michaela are catching up. Michaela clearly had a good break, but it seems that they won’t be able to leave the events at the end of last semester in the past:

Interesting…so what is Annalise doing about Hannah? It’s pretty interesting that Michaela has replaced her engagement ring. I mean the old one is still missing and definitely a liability. And what’s up with these long, intense looks between Annalise and Wes?

Take a look at images from tonight’s episode and make sure to tune into ABC at 10:00pm ET|PT for the new How to Get Away with Murder.
