VIDEO: Sneak Peek into Tonight’s ‘Arrow,’ Season 3, Episode 12, “Uprising”

February 4, 2015 By T.J. Leave a Comment

Malcolm Merlyn is out for revenge. Get your sneak peek into tonight’s episode of Arrow airing on The CW at 8 PM (ET/PT).

Watching the team try to help the Starling City residents while Oliver (Stephen Amell) is recuperating under the care of (Karl Yune) and Tatsu (Rila Fukushima) has been painful to watch. The team of Diggle (David Ramsey), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Roy/Arsenal (Colton Haynes), and now Laurel aka Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) are struggling to make a difference and even though it’s comedic to watch at times, they are trying.

Last week on Arrow, season 3, episode 11, “Midnight City,” Laurel fully step’s into her sister’s shoes and the first few steps are rocky. Arsenal and Diggle try to warn her to get more training before she takes on the vigilante role on a more permanent basis. Only to realize that Laurel doesn’t want to hear their concerns, she will continue on her quest. Therefore they team up to go against Brick (Vinnie Jones) and this leads to a city alderman getting murder. In the end, the team is able to rescue the remaining city alderman only after tricking Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) into believing that Sara is still alive. It was an evil, evil, betrayal that will surely backfire once Quentin finds out the truth. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) tells some half-truths and informs Thea (Willa Holland) that Ra’s al Ghul is after him and his family and they should leave Starling City immediately to avoid fighting. However, Thea tells Malcolm that he trained her to fight and they should stay and do so. The closing cliffhanger revealed that Brick was responsible for Malcom’s wife’s death which he overhears via the surveillance he set-up in the Arrow cave.

On tonight’s Arrow, season 3, episode 12, “Uprising,” that was directed by Jesse Warn and written by Brian Ford Sullivan and Beth Schwartz:

Malcom makes an offer to help Team Arrow — Still operating without Oliver and desperate to stop Brick, Team Arrow is forced to consider Malcolm’s offer to help shut Brick down as Malcolm has a personal score to settle with the felon. Roy and Laurel point out that the team could use some help to save the innocents of The Glades, but Felicity is adamantly against it. They look to Diggle to make the final decision. Meanwhile, the flashbacks chronicle Malcolm’s descent from kind-hearted father and husband to cold-blooded killer after the murder of his wife. (via The CW)

Now let’s get a further sneak peek into “Uprising” with the below clip. In this clip, Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim gives us an inside look into the episode and let’s us know that we jump back 25 years into Merlyn’s past to see how he arrived to the man he is today.

Tune into Arrow, “Uprising” airing tonight on The CW at 8 PM (ET/PT) and make sure to join me on twitter for the East Coast viewing as I live tweet while we watch the episode.
