VIDEO: Sneak Peek into Tonight’s ‘Supernatural,’ Season 10, Episode 12, “About a Boy”

February 3, 2015 By T.J. Leave a Comment

Young Dean is back! Get a sneak peek into tonight’s Supernatural airing on The CW at 9 PM (ET/PT).

Season 10 of Supernatural has been one hell of a ride. Seeing Demon!Dean (Jensen Ackles) has my lady bits wanting to explode, while my heart has been slowly breaking. Then to see how the mark of Cain not only affects the bearer Dean, but watching Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) see Dean struggle often has me clutching my pillow.

Last week on Supernatural, season 10, episode 11, “There’s No Place Like Home” Charlie Bradbury (Felicia Day) was back, times 2. Charlie during a war in Oz fell for the Wizard’s trick and let the darkest parts of herself be pulled out of her. By doing so, Charlie literally was split into two persons. One Charlie was good, while the other one was bad. Bad!Charlie came to real world to avenge her parents death. As Dean and Sam always get their person, they caught up with her, which resulted in an epic hand-to-hand battle between Bad!Charlie and Dean. Once Dean got the upper hand and the mark had vengeance running through his blood, he began to beat Bad!Charlie to the point that he forgot what happens to one Charlie, happens to the other. Seeing Dean filled with so much rage and a broken and beaten Good!Charlie in Sam’s arms made me weep a bit. Even though Charlie was made whole in the end and all was made well for her, it further proved that I’m too week for this story-line regarding Dean and the mark of Cain.

Now up on Supernatural, season 10, episode 12, “About a Boy” that was directed by Serge Ladouceur and written by Adam Glass:

Dean is turned into his 14-year-old self. Looking to get Dean out of the bunker, Sam finds a case for him and Dean to investigate — people are disappearing into thin air with only their clothes left behind. Sam and Dean suspect fairies or angels, but the truth turns out to be much more shocking — Hansel (Mark Acheson), from Hansel and Gretel lore, is kidnapping people and turning them into their younger selves to placate the evil witch (Lesley Nicol). Unfortunately, Dean finds this information out the hard way after he becomes Hansel’s next victim and reverts to his 14-year-old self (Dylan Everett). (via The CW)

Learning that Dylan Everett is coming back to play Teen!Dean has me quite excited. This young man prior to his first gig on Supernatural, binge-watched the entire series to properly get Dean’s mannerisms down. That is dedication. So I’m excited to see what he will bring to his performance in “About a Boy.” Just from the below trailer for the episode alone has me excited.

Now let’s get a further sneak peek into Supernatural, season 10, episode 12, “About a Boy,” with the below clip and promotional images from the episode. In the clip, we see Dean and Sam interviewing an eye-witness who thinks the strange events occurring are due to aliens. And in the promotional images we get screen shots of guest stars Lesley Nicol as the witch, Dylan Everett as Teen!Dean, and Mark Acheson as Hansel.
