Lionsgate and MTV debut the new The Divergent Series: Insurgent trailer, which will air during the 2015 Super Bowl pre-game show. They also share Insurgent‘s final poster and book cover for the novel’s movie tie-in edition.
Earlier this week, Shailene Woodley gave us a heads-up about a special treat coming this weekend. During Sunday’s (February 1) Super Bowl pre-game show, a new trailer will debut to celebrate the 50 day mark until The Divergent Series: Insurgent‘s theatrical release. Well thanks to an MTV Exclusive, we Tributes get to have an early look! The trailer (which you can watch below) features simulation sequence that Tris (Shailene Woodley) experiences while she’s held captive by Jeanine (Kate Winslet) in Erudite headquarters:
WOWSA! This Insurgent trailer is perfect for the Super Bowl—the action and special effects are so intense. And Tris is beyond fearless as she crashes through the glass, charges Jeanine, and careens through the city. She’s absolutely “the one,” probably because (as many of us speculate) the box Jeanine is trying to open likely holds the Edith Prior video. This makes Tris, who is divergent and Edith’s relative the key to accessing the box’s content. What do you think of the trailer?
This past Wednesday, Lionsgate and MTV also debuted the final Insurgent poster. We can see Tris and Four (Theo James), fierce as hell, wielding weapons, and leaving destruction in their wake. This image will be the new book cover for the movie tie-in version of the novel as well:
