VIDEO: Preview ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ Mid-Season Premiere, “Hello Raskolnikov”

January 29, 2015 By Funmbi 2 Comments

Preview How to Get Away with Murder season 1, episode 10 “Hello Raskolnikov” with video and photo sneak peeks. The winter premiere airs at 10pm ET|PT on ABC.

It’s been over two months and I still don’t have the words to convey how I felt after How to Get Away with Murder‘s mid-season finale “Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me.” All season long, we’ve known that Sam’s (Tom Verica) murder would be coming, but I never guessed it would be a combination of pure accident and (unskilled) manipulation that would lead to his death and the resulting cover-up.

From the beginning of that episode, things were completely out of whack. When Sam attacked Rebecca (Katie Findlay) and flipped out on the Keating 5 and then Michaela (Aja Naomi King) and Laurel (Karla Souza) accidentally pushed him over the stairs, I thought for sure Sam was done. But it seemed that nothing would keep him from taking Rebecca out, not even a fall of that magnitude. With that said, Wes (Alfred Enoch) definitively put a stop to Sam when he bashed him over the head with the Lady Justice statue.

Things got even messier as events unfolded like we’d observed in the flashbacks featured in previous episodes. Wes got Rebecca to safety and then convinced (tricked) Connor (Jack Falahee), Michaela, and Laurel into moving Sam’s body from the house and disposing of it. We saw that Bonnie (Liza Weil) hooking up with Asher (Matt McGorry) was more of a reaction to being rejected and fired by Annalise (Viola Davis).

Speaking of Annalise…goodness, I will never forget her argument with Sam—she confessing about her affair with Nate (Billy Brown); him calling her a slut and almost choking her. But what really jarred me was the message Annalise left on Sam’s voicemail. After all the terrible things he said, I couldn’t believe she would want to go back to him.

Well, it turned out that she didn’t! Annalise was most likely just creating an alibi for herself—just as she knew Wes killed Sam and most likely organized the disposal plan that the Keating 5 (minus Asher) carried out. *insert jaw-dropping emoji here*

There were so many mistakes made, from Michaela losing her engagement ring, to the group deciding not to incinerate Sam’s remains. Annalise is going to have a hell of a time making sure they all get away with this murder!

In tonight’s winter premiere episode, “Hello Raskolnikov,” written by Marcus Dalzine and directed by Michael Offer:

It’s the day after Sam’s murder and the students are called in to help Annalise find her missing husband, but just how much does Annalise know? And when a surprise visitor shows up in town, getting away with this murder might not be as easy as the students had hoped. (via ABC)

Take a look at this clip from the upcoming show. D.A. Wendy Parks (Alysia Reiner) shows up at Annalise’s home and accuses her of orchestrating Sam’s affair with Lila Stangard (Megan West) and his disappearance to take attention off Rebecca’s trial:

Seriously, the Keating 5 looks so suspect! All the glances and sideeyes and whispers make them seem guilty of something…which I guess they are. And what’s with that long look between Annalise and Wes???

Check out these images from the episode and make sure to tune into ABC at 10:00pm ET|PT tonight for the new How to Get Away with Murder. Join me over on twitter to live tweet as we watch!
