VIDEO: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, & Ron Moore Offer Tips to Surviving Droughtlander

January 16, 2015 By Funmbi 2 Comments

Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, and Ron Moore provide Droughtlander survival strategies in a new interview with Yahoo! TV. Outlander returns on April 4, 2015.

My fellow Sassenachs, this Droughtlander period has pretty tough. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been incredibly grateful for the monthly “4 Droughtlander” goodies and the month of December’s “Outlander Offerings“. And let’s not forget that just last week, we got a full Outlander season 1B trailer and gorgeous photo stills from upcoming episodes. With that said, I’m greedy for more. When you’re talking about a show as compelling and well-done as Outlander, it’s hard not be impatient (and excited and slightly depressed), am I right?

Last week Yahoo! TV sat down with Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser),  Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall Fraser), and Executive Producer Ron Moore before Outlander‘s Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour panel. Sam, Cait, and Ron totally understand our Droughtlander withdrawals, but they promise the remaining right episodes will be worth the wait (which I 100% believe). And in the mean time, they offer the following tips on how to survive the long hiatus. Spoiler alert, alcohol may be involved…

Re-watching season 1A, reading the Outlander book series (and possibly stalking Diana Gabaldon), and having a stiff drink (or more than one) definitely seem like sound strategies to me!

Well, at this point, we’re much closer to April 4, and we have two more “4 Droughtlanders” and the Outlander official TV soundtrack to look forward to. And you never know, Sam, Cait, Ron, Diana, and STARZ may have a couple more surprises up their sleeves for us!

How have you been getting though Droughtlander? Share your favorite tip with us in comments!
