STARZ releases the full trailer and new images from the second half of Outlander Season 1. Outlander returns on April 4, 2015 at 9:00pm ET|PT on STARZ.
Just a few days ago, we were flailing over the Outlander season 1B teaser that STARZ shared with us for January’s “4 Droughtlander”. Well, as Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) promised when he introduced the clip, the full trailer is now available, and let me tell you, it’s AMAZING!
The trailer is about two minutes long and begins with scenes from season 1A: Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Frank (Tobias Menzies) at Craig na Dun, Claire’s first meeting Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), Castle Leoch, Claire and Jamie’s wedding/wedding night, and the last scene of 1A where BJR has Claire captive and Jamie has come to rescue her.
As the video continues, we get clips from the season 1B “4 Droughtlander” teaser, with Claire discussing how she’s making a home for herself in 1743 Scotland with Jamie. Around the 0:35 mark, the new part of the trailer begins, and we get several new scenes from the upcoming episodes: Claire apologizing to Jamie for running away to Craig na Dun; Claire with (presumably) the Duke of Sandringham; Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) confronting Claire about who she really is, and much more. I had to watch the trailer three times before I finally had my wits about me to write this post. And if you could see me now, you’d see I’m a fangirling mess! It seems that we can expect to see all the highlights from this portion of the book—-from Claire being tried for witchcraft, to Jamie and Claire’s trip to Lallybroch and Jamie being captured by the Red Coats. Unsurprisingly, I’m also looking forward to the incredibly HOT Jamie/Claire sexy times!
I think Jenny Fraser Murray’s (Laura Donnelly) statement at the end is pretty profound: “Love forces a person to choose…You do things you never imagined you could do before.” And of course Claire responds by saying she won’t give up on Jamie because she’s 100% willing to fight to be with him, as we will see…
