Preview Sleepy Hollow‘s mid-season premiere “Paradise Lost” (episode 12) with video and photo sneak peeks. The episode airs tonight at 9:00pmET on FOX.
Sleepy Hollow returns tonight, and given the way we left things in December’s Fall finale (“The Akeda“), our favorite characters have entered a new limbo where nothing is certain.
If you’ll recall from “The Akeda”: Moloch (Derek Mears) and Henry (John Noble) were about to raise Purgatory on Earth. However, Ichabod (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) had found the Sword of Methuselah, which could kill Moloch and stop his plans. With that said, after interrogating Abraham/Headless (Neil Jackson), we learned that there was a prince to pay for wielding the powerful magic: anyone who used the sword would die.
Thanks to Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood), we realized that Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) could use the sword without dying since Henry already owned his soul. When Irving faced off with the Horseman of War (Marti Martulis), he was successful in slaying him. Unfortunately, Irving was also hurt in the fight and died.
Moloch then sent Henry to get the sword from Team Witness, and it was pretty clear that Moloch had no problem with sacrificing his #2 to attain his goals. It seemed that Henry realized this as well because the episode ended with Henry (SURPRISINGLY) killing Moloch himself!
In tonight’s show, “Paradise Lost”:
Ichabod and Abbie meet Orion, an angel who may be able to help them in the aftermath of their showdown with Moloch. Meanwhile, Katrina isn’t quite ready to give up on Abraham. (via TV Guide)

WOWSA! So it seems that the war really isn’t over…and Orion looks pretty fierce himself. I’m really eager to see what role he’ll be playing on Team Witness.
