Tongal announces the top 20 “Twilight Stories” screenplay outline finalists and is now accepting full screenplay submissions.
Since Stephanie Meyer announced the “Twilight Storytellers–New Creative Voices of The Twilight Saga” campaign, I know we’ve all been excited about being able to see the expansion of the Twilight universe with these short films. Last month, the “Twilight Short Film Project” judges narrowed down the screenplay outline submissions to a shortlist of 40. Fans then voted for their favorites, and earlier today the Twilight Saga‘s official twitter account announced the 20 finalists. Check them out below:
It looks like the Carlisle and Alice “Twilight Stories” outlines were the most popular.
So now these 20 finalists will will receive $500 and the opportunity to write a full (4 to 15) page screenplay, based on their outline. From the 20, the judges panel will choose 5 winners to submit a directors pitch (convincing the judges why their screenplay should be selected to execute a short film).
