Preview tonight’s Fall finale episode of The Originals, “The Map of Moments,” airing at 8:00pmET on The CW.
Last week The Originals took a break so we could enjoy a holiday special. But we’re back tonight with the mid-season finale, and this episode is guaranteed to bring all the feels right to the surface. If you’ll recall when we last saw the Mikaelsons, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) had met up with Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Baby Hope to help keep them away from Lenore/Esther (Sonja Sohn). But Elijah was having serious self-control issues and pretty much slaughtered an entire diner full of people (YIKES!).
We found out that Esther had been preparing Cami’s (Leah Pipes) body to be Rebekah’s host. Vincent/Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) also confessed that Esther’s older sister, Dahlia, would have come after Hope if the baby had survived… Of course we know that Hope is alive and well. So by the time the episode wrapped up, Klaus and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) were headed out of town to reunite with Rebekah and the baby.
In tonight’s fall finale episode, “The Map of Moments”:
Rebekah notices an unusual change in Elijah’s behavior, and meets Klaus and Haley at a safe house where they are reunited with baby Hope. Meanwhile, Kaleb sheds light on a spell he created in 1914; Cami learns Esther’s plan will put her life in danger; and Esther makes an unlikely alliance that could prove to be dangerous for Klaus. In this clip, Executive Producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci talk to us a bit more about what we can expect in this episode. Besides a sweet Klaus/Hayley/Hope reunion (*FLAILS*), we’ll also learn more about Kaleb/Kol’s (Daniel Sharman) relationship with his siblings. It turns out that Kol has been trying to take Klaus down for the last hundred years and has been searching for a perfect paragon diamond to do so:
