Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Sleepy Hollow fall finale episode, “The Akeda,” airing on FOX at 9:00pmET.
As we saw in part one of Sleepy Hollow‘s fall finale last week, some serious evil is about to descend. Katrina (Katia Winter) is able to get in touch with Ichabod (Tom Mison)and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) to let them know that Moloch is alive and growing pretty quickly. As a result, Team Witness begins the search for a weapon that would be strong enough to take Moloch down. With the help of their good friend Benjamin Franklin, Ichabod and Abbie discover the location of the sword of Methuselah, which is just the weapon they need. Of course, things are never as easy as they seem–not only do Ichabod and Abbie come face to face with Medusa, guardian Gorgon of the sword, but also, Ichabod and Abraham/Headless (Neil Jackson) finally face off (pun intended).
I never imagined that Medusa would be one of the monsters of the week, but I really shouldn’t be surprised. In this season alone, Ichabod and Abbie have already gone head to head with the pied piper, a wendigo, and a succubus, so we know that the Sleepy Hollow writers aren’t afraid to push the envelope when it comes to incorporating various mythologies.
But what I really enjoy is seeing the origins of Ichabod and Abraham’s friendship and where things go wrong. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I kind of understand Abraham’s ire–he really is supposed to be the war hero and win the girl, but that all goes to Ichabod. It’s important that these two were able to meet as they did. Ichabod and Abraham are definitely tied to one another, but I have a feeling that only one of them can survive this war…

WOW, this sounds incredibly ominous, and the sneak peeks from the show aren’t much more optimistic.
In the first clip, Abraham and Ichabod find themselves in close proximity once again; however, it seems Abraham has some advice about the price that must be paid to wield the sword of Methuselah.
If you’ll recall from last week, Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) is on the run from the authorities as has decided to hide underground and fight. In the second video, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) and Ichabod go looking for Irving because the time has come.
And in the final clip, IchAbbie have some car trouble as they’re on their way to stop Moloch from bringing forth the apocalypse. As you’ll see, they’re not afraid to engage in a little grand theft auto to make things happen:
