The We So Nerdy Weekly Overview

November 23, 2014 By Team WSN Leave a Comment

A weekly overview of all the goodness we brought you from Monday, November 17 – Sunday, November 23.

November 17

We had more Monday Funnies for you, this time around we have a man trying to get a owl out of his home. This video is beyond hysterical and were still amazed that he was able to capture this all on video. Then a young woman was able to escape paying a hefty parking ticket by pretending to be a ghost car. We don’t know how she did it, but it was devious and genius. And closing the Monday Funnies post we gave mention to how we felt victimized by a biopic that was beyond horrible.

And we here at We So Nerdy love bringing you sneak peeks! We gave you a sneak peek into the premiere episode of new NBC show State of Affairs starring Katherine Heigl and Alfre Woodward. This new political drama features two amazing female lead roles, one a CIA Analyst, the other the President of the United States. Then we gave you a look into the Gotham season 1, episode 9, “Harvey Dent.” In this episode we finally meet Gotham’s youngest District Attorney, Mr. Harvey Dent and see Oswald Cobblepot continuing to make moves to always be two steps ahead of the rest of the criminal masterminds in Gotham. In the preview of this week’s The Originals, ‘Chasing the Devil’s Tail,’ producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci took us behind the scenes to discuss Cami’s decision to go after Vincent/Finn, now that she knows he’s a Mikaelson. They also gave us a look into Klaus’ attempts to save Elijah, while also dealing with his biological father (Ansel). In the Jane the Virgin preview for ‘Chapter Six,’ Jane herself, Gina Rodriguez, talked about how she and Rogelio are getting closer to one another. However, both Jane and her mom run into some difficulty when they meet Rogelio’s ex-wife and step-children, who are not very friendly. And in the sneak peek of Sleepy Hollow season 2, episode 9, ‘Mama,’ Abbie and Jenny found out that they have a personal connection to a new string of murder/suicides taking place in Tarrytown Psychiatric Hospital.

November 18

How to Get Away with Murder had an hour-long question and answer session with the Screen Actors Guild Foundation and we brought you the full video. Learn more about the show and the cast, it’s truly worth the watch.

More sneak peeks are coming for TV on Tuesday night. First up is the look into The Flash, season 1, episode 6, “The Flash is Born.” Barry goes up against Tony Woodward/Girder and it looks like he will get his bum kicked a bit before he can defeat this villain. In the sneak peek of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., season 2, episode 8, “The Things We Bury,” Coulson takes the team to Hawaii to uncover an ancient secret and we get a blast into the S.H.I.E.L.D. past when we see Agent Carter interrogating Werner Reinhardt (Reed Diamond). And in the preview of this week’s black-ish Thanksgiving episode, ‘Oedipal Triangle,’ Jenifer Lewis guest-starred as Dre’s mom, Ruby, who’s visiting for the holiday. Ruby brings some serious drama when she disagrees with Bow’s cooking and parenting methods.

We brought you some amazing news that HBO ordered Westworld, a new TV series which will air in 2015. This new series based on the 1973 will have some major star power involved like Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood.

We also brought you the hot, new movie tie-in cover for the Fifty Shades of Grey novel, which E.L. James shared on her official Facebook page. This version of the book will be available worldwide starting January 6, 2015.

And as the release date of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 was approaching, we shared two more official film clips that featured Katniss visiting District 12 and another scene with Katniss, President Coin, and Haymitch in District 13 brainstorming strategy.

November 19

TNT is turning movie franchise The Librarian into a TV series titled The Librarians which premieres on Sunday, December 7th at 8 PM ET/PT. We provided you news and a sneak peek into the series that stars Rebecca Romijn, Noah Wyle, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Kim, and John Larroquette. The announcement of the show has Kaniacs, Leverage fans, and fans of The Librarian franchise extremely excited. And as you all are aware we love sneak peeks, so for Wednesday night TV we let you know what was going to go down on Arrow, season 3, episode 7, “Draw Back Your Bow.” Oliver Queen was pitted up against DC Comics villain Carrie Cutter/ Cupid and Laurel Lance began her training, so we know that Black Canary is on her way.

In a preview for the Grey’s Anatomy winter finale ‘Risk,’ Derek is approached by the President’s special assistant to discuss joining the brain mapping initiative. And while helping April with her sonogram, (Stephanie) Edwards realizes there might be something wrong with the baby. The sneak peek of Scandal‘s winter finale episode, ‘Where the Sun Don’t Shine,’ focusses on Jake encouraging Liv to protect herself now that Command is trying to clean house. And in a preview clip from How to Get Away with Murder, ‘Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me,’ Annalise seems to be finally done with Sam and is kicking him out of their home, sparking the events that eventually lead to Sam’s death.

We shared news that “The Storytellers –New Creative Voices of The Twilight Saga”/Twilight Stories campaign announced the top ten characters fans selected to be featured in the short films. We’ve now entered phase 2 where the committee of judges will accept screenplay proposals from female writers.

November 21

TV for Friday night revolves around Constantine. In our sneak peek into Constantine, season 1, episode 6, “Danse Vaudou” Papa Midnite comes back. Papa Midnite and John Constantine most work together to combat a demon who is bringing the dead back to life. Let’s all be prepared to be scared.
