Tongal announces the Top Ten characters from Twilight Stories “Character Voting” phase and is now accepting screenplay proposals.
Last week Stephanie Meyer launched “The Storytellers –New Creative Voices of The Twilight Saga” campaign. Phase 1, the “Character Voting” period began immediately afterwards, and we were able to vote for the Twilight character we’d most like to see featured in one of the new short films. The voting phase ended yesterday and Tongal just announced the Top Ten characters! Check them out below:
This is an awesome list! Alice has always been one of my absolute favorite characters, and I’d love to hear more of her story. It’s interesting to see Huilen make the list as well. It would be great to learn about her life with her sister, Pire, and taking care of her nephew Nahuel. Did your favorites make the list?
Now, we’re moving right into phase 2 where the committee of judges will accept screenplay proposals from female writers:
In 500 characters or less, Screenplay Outlines should establish a story that could be expanded into a complete Screenplay, and ultimately a 5-10 minute short film. You will be required to select which character you’re featuring in your Screenplay Outline from a dropdown menu (if using more than one, please choose only one as the main character). Judges will determine the top 20 Screenplay Outlines. These 20 finalists will receive $500 each and write complete Screenplays in the next phase.
